HighRise ain’t fuckin’ around… as well as being an in-house writer and full time team member for Ghostcraft, he’s also a successful artist in his own right. Get ready to learn.

Born and raised in Iowa (we know, right?), HighRise’s unique brand of pop-hop is both urban and also weirdly a little bit country, without either element stepping on the other’s toes. You’ll have to hear it, we guess. Playlist below.

With HighRise’s first official release featuring dark hip hop poster boy & indie juggernaut Hopsin, it’s safe to say this country boy got off to a pretty good start in rap. ‘The Red Room’ now sits at over 2 million streams across digital platforms… and it really was just the beginning.

Soon after, our Midwestern heartthrob found himself on tracks alongside major artists such as Snoop Dogg and Royce Da 5’9. Then, he put out his single ‘Hunnit’ featuring the esteemed Hi-Rez (we know, we know… HighRise, Hi-Rez, it’s a fuckin’ hoot).

THEN, LX Xander went and recruited HighRise to feature on the spooky producer’s remix of the classic Alien Ant Farm cover of ‘Smooth Criminal’, released through our friends at Cleopatra Records.

And yeah, he did a BANG UP JOB:

With all his hometown homies rockin’ his merch and fans all over America bumpin’ his tracks, HighRise is on the way, way up. His debut EP is pretty much finished… and between you and us… it’s like, really, REALLY good.

Look out for it real soon, ok?

Oh, and a little trivia for his adoring teenage girl fans: he collects snapbacks and loves Supra sneakers. Buy him some.
